Pan Fry
Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1-2 tablespoons of vegetable oil to the pan. Place the potstickers in the skillet in a single layer, flat side down. Make sure they are not touching each other to ensure even cooking. Cook the potstickers for about 2-3 minutes, or until the bottoms are golden brown and crispy. Carefully pour 1/4 to 1/3 cup of water into the pan. Be cautious as the oil may splatter. Immediately cover the pan with a lid to trap the steam. Reduce the heat to medium and steam the potstickers for 5-6 minutes. The water will cook the filling and soften the dough. Once the water has evaporated, remove the lid and allow the potstickers to cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to crisp up the bottoms again. Transfer the potstickers to a plate and serve them hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as soy sauce, vinegar, or chili oil.
