This vegan stewed ham is a flavorful and versatile addition to any meal, with a savory taste and tender texture. Ideal for stir-fries, stews, or even sandwiches, it brings rich flavor to a variety of dishes while remaining gluten-free.

Ingredients:

  • Soybean Fiber
  • Soybean Protein Hydrolysate
  • Bean Oil
  • Salt
  • Sugar
  • Vegetarian Seasonings (White Pepper, Black Pepper, Chinese Five Spice)

Cooking Instructions:

Skillet:

  1. Slice your desired amount of vegan stewed ham and dice vegetables such as carrots, string beans, broccoli, or pineapple.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a wok or skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Once the wok is hot, add the vegetables and ham. Stir-fry together for 2 minutes.
  4. Add pre-cooked rice (ensure it's ready before preparation) and stir-fry for another 2–3 minutes.
  5. Season with salt if needed. Serve and enjoy!

Stew:

  1. Slice the vegan stewed ham into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Add to a pot of boiling water with your choice of vegetables (potatoes, carrots, onions, etc.).
  3. Simmer for 20–30 minutes or until the vegetables are tender and the flavors have melded together.
  4. Season with your preferred spices, and serve hot as a hearty stew.

Sandwiches or Wraps:

  1. Slice the vegan stewed ham into thin strips or cubes.
  2. Place the slices in a sandwich or wrap with fresh veggies, avocado, or your favorite condiments.
  3. Serve cold or warm for a delicious, plant-based meal.

Baked Vegan Stewed Ham:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the ham into 1-inch pieces and place on a baking sheet.
  3. Brush with a bit of olive oil and bake for 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway through for even crispiness.
  4. Serve as a side dish, in salads, or on its own with your favorite dipping sauce.

Delicious for a GF holiday meal
I used an orange sage sauce for a coating and glaze for this and it was delicious! Great texture and flavor, and moistness. I added veggies on the side in a 9x13 baking dish and scored the ham on the lines and baked uncovered at 325 for 15 minutes, then recoated, rotated and baked for 20 mins covered, and repeated the recoat, rotate, 20 mins another 2 times, and a final cooking uncovered to lightl
