Our Vegan Imitation Red Spot Prawns in this generous 6.5-pound size offer a delicious, plant-based alternative to traditional seafood. These prawns are made from high-quality konjac powder and modified potato starch, providing a shrimp-like texture that’s gluten-free, soy-free, and free from garlic and onion. Perfect for larger meals, gatherings, or food service, they can be used in a variety of dishes including stir-fries, soups, and vegan seafood boils.

Ingredients:

• Water
• Konjac Powder
• Beta Glucan
• Modified Potato Starch
• Paprika
• Sugar
• Sea Salt
• Carrageenan
• Alginates
• Calcium Hydroxide

Cooking Suggestions:

Boiling:

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add the vegan prawns and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Remove from the water and drain. They are now ready to be used in your favorite recipes.

Stir-Frying:

  1. Heat 2-3 tablespoons of oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the vegan prawns and stir-fry for 5-7 minutes, flipping occasionally, until crispy and golden.
  3. Add your choice of vegetables, sauces, or spices for a complete dish.

Deep-Frying:

  1. Heat oil to 350°F in a deep fryer or large pot.
  2. Carefully drop the vegan prawns into the hot oil and fry for 3-4 minutes, until crispy and golden brown.
  3. Remove and drain excess oil.

Oven Baking:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Spread the vegan prawns on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Bake for 10-12 minutes, turning halfway through for even crispiness.

Grilling:

  1. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium heat.
  2. Lightly oil the grill grate and grill the vegan prawns for 3-4 minutes per side, or until charred and crispy.

Great Shrimp
There is no way you can ruined these shrimp you can't over cook, under cook the texture is perfect and they taste good. I would highly recommend.

Searched For So Long
Being vegan, I don't miss eating animal products. But there are certain textures that no plant or vegetable can simulate and that would be shrimp for me. So many products here at May Wah are delicious so I took a chance and ordered a large container of these prawns. We miss vegan shrimp and decided to splurge for the holidays.
