COOKING SUGGESTIONS
Steam
Fill the bottom of your steamer pot with water, ensuring that the water level is below the steamer basket. Line the steamer basket with parchment paper or cabbage leaves to prevent the dumplings from sticking. Make small holes in the parchment paper to allow steam to circulate. Place the steamer pot on the stove and bring the water to a boil over high heat. Place the shrimp dumplings in the lined steamer basket, ensuring they are spaced apart so they don’t stick together. Avoid overcrowding. Place the steamer basket over the boiling water, cover with a lid, and reduce the heat to medium. Steam the dumplings for about 7-10 minutes. The dumplings are ready when the wrapper becomes translucent. Serve the vegan shrimp dumplings immediately with a dipping sauce of your choice, such as soy sauce with a splash of rice vinegar or chili oil.
